Pongal

  My fav recipe ever served with mango pickle n coconut chutney as i learned from my aunt when i was at her home.

Ingredients
Pesarpappu (moong dal) (yellow color)-1cup
Rice-2cup
Water-5 cups
Salt-as req




Tempering
Oil-1 tsp
Turmeric-1tsp
Mustard Seeds-1 tsp
Cummin Seeds-2 tsp
Pepper Corns-8 (as req)
Green Chilli-4
Curry leaves-1string
Crushed Ginger-1/4cup
Preparation Method
In pressure cooker heat oil then add tempering n saute for 2 mins,then add washed moong dal,1 cup water saute n boil until you observe bubbles then add rice 4 cups water,salt mix well n cover the lid n cook until 2 whistles then switch off the flame.Keep a side until pressure completely  goes out.Serve this yummy pongal with combo of chutney,mango pickle.
